There’s something in the air in the last few days of February that has us all craving tropical drinks and sunny flavors. We’ve finally spent one too many gloomy days cooped up on the couch, and if the weather isn’t conducive to fun in the sun, well, at least our drinks can deliver some summery vibes.

So, when new sodas from brands like Coca-Cola, Olipop, and Spindrift promise sunshine in a can, we’re all in. And when a fan-favorite flavor unexpectedly returns? Even better.

Lucky for us, 7Up Tropical is back—and this time, it’s here to stay.

7Up Tropical Is Back on Shelves

Last year, 7Up Tropical was released for a limited time exclusively at Kroger stores. But now, it’s hitting retailers across the country, and is set to stick around as a permanent addition to the lemon-lime lineup.

One look at the colorful packaging and you know exactly what you’re in for. The bright design sets the stage for the tropical, citrusy flavor packed inside—complete with that laid-back, summertime vibe. In fact, some have even put it in the running for the “prettiest bottle award.”

The tropical twist brings in the bold flavors of mango and peach to the lemon-lime soda, creating a crisp, fruit-forward taste. Reviewers online have shared that the peach flavor takes the forefront, while the mango follows behind to create a refreshing, well-balanced beverage.

“Just cracked it open and wow,” one Reddit user shared. “Definitely a wake-up call to your taste buds for something different. If you find this and are down to try new things, I definitely recommend it. 12/10.”

Some fans say serving it over ice makes all the difference, while others even like doctoring it up a bit, giving it the Dirty Soda spin that many love with Coca-Cola or Diet Coke. “That 7Up tropical is amazing with some sweet cream,” one commenter shared.

If you’ve been keeping up with 7Up, you know the brand launched another bright new flavor, Shirley Temple, back in September. It was only out for a limited time, but caused such a buzz that there’s a chance we see it back for another (potentially longer) run this year as well.

“Our 2025 cold beverage pipeline builds on our strong track record of delivering successful consumer-centric innovation across our portfolio of legendary brands,” Eric Gorli, President of U.S. Refreshment Beverages at Keurig Dr Pepper, shared in a press release. “Our experts, from flavor scientists to trend spotters, have crafted a dynamic lineup across soft drinks, waters, teas, and juices that will offer consumers nationwide even more choice through new fruit flavors, modern twists on familiar favorites, and zero sugar options.”

7Up Tropical is available in both regular and zero-sugar options, and is sold in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans. s now hitting shelves nationwide. So, if you’re craving some Vitamin D, at least you can get a little sunshine in a can until the real thing finally shows up.
