There are some people—although probably not many—who don’t like pizza. For the rest of us who enjoy the simple, satisfying culinary delight, we all have our favorite types of crusts and combinations of toppings.
Some keep it super simple with a thin crust, flavorful sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Others like a deep-dish crust or their pizza loaded with pepperoni or sausage (or both). And, of course, there are those on Team Pineapple who will defend this controversial topping to the end.
There are so many variations on pizza that we could never mention them all here, but there’s one variation that’s hard to resist for many of us, and that’s adding extra cheese—as much extra cheese as possible.
Back in the ’90s, Pizza Hut figured out how to add even more cheese to appease cheese lovers by putting it right in the crust. The stuffed crust pizza became a huge hit, and other pizza chains followed suit, including Papa John’s.
Remarkably, Domino’s didn't jump on the stuffed crust bandwagon—until now.
Domino’s First-Ever Stuffed Crust Pizza

Earlier this year, Domino’s released a red wine from Yellow Tail, designed to pair with its pizzas, and it’s safe to say we were all taken by surprise by the collaboration. Now, Domino’s is stuffing pizza crusts with cheese, and since other chains have been doing this for decades, we’re surprised by this news too.
After Domino’s shared the announcement on its Instagram account, many fans took to the comments section to express their excitement, with one fan saying, “It’s about time.”
The new Domino's Parmesan Stuffed Crust features melty cheese made with mozzarella, Domino's fan-favorite garlic seasoning, and a sprinkle of Parmesan for extra cheesy bits. To celebrate the launch, Domino’s has declared March 3 to March 9 National Stuffed Crust Week and is offering one-topping Parmesan Stuffed Crust Pizza for $9.99 through its Carryout Deal.
The chain is so sure its stuffed crust is better than anyone else’s that it's giving away $250,000 worth of free Parmesan Stuffed Crust Pizzas to anyone who has ordered stuffed crust pizza elsewhere—as long as they still have their receipt.
