Hostess—the iconic snack brand behind Honey Buns, Donettes, Ding Dongs, and Twinkies (and plenty of mashups in between)—has a knack for releasing treats you didn’t even know you needed. And today, it’s back again with two new snacks that are sure to tempt your sweet tooth.
First up: a mini version of its classic black-and-white cupcakes. But the real game-changer? A completely new take on Donettes that gives them a fruit-filled, fritter-inspired twist.
The New Hostess Donettes Fritter Rings
Hostess has completely reimagined its beloved Donettes, introducing Donettes Apple Cinnamon Fritter Rings—a fun, pull-apart take on the signature donuts.
We’ve seen plenty of variations of “America’s #1 Donut” over the years, from the classics of Powdered and Frosted to inventive flavors like Old Fashioned and Crunch. Hostess even went jumbo-sized with Glazed Blueberry and Glazed Strawberry. But this latest version might be the most interesting yet.
The Apple Cinnamon Fritter Rings have the soft, fluffy interior of a donut, the crispy, glazed exterior of a fritter, and a shape that’s never been seen on snack shelves before. The bubble-like design looks like a string of donut holes fused together, making them perfect for pulling apart piece by piece. And, with real apple pieces baked inside, they deliver that bakery-style fritter experience—without the trip to the bakery.

Think of it as a cross between a donut, donut holes, and monkey bread—all in a convenient, ready-to-eat package. And while they’re perfect for any time of day, they were made with morning snacking in mind. We can already picture ourselves dunking these pull-apart bites into a hot cup of coffee.
