Even though I browse kitchen sales for a living, I’m still taken aback whenever I come across big discounts—especially on high-tech gadgets. I did a double-take when this heavily discounted meat thermometer appeared on my screen. Marked down from $50 to just $13, you don’t want to miss this steal—particularly with grilling season on the horizon.

Rouuo Digital Meat Thermometer

Cooking meat is an art form that takes time to perfect—however, digital thermometers make that process a heck of a lot easier. No more worrying about undercooked chicken or second-guessing that your steak is cooked medium-rare. A meat thermometer lets you take a peek inside.

This particular meat thermometer has a lot of impressive bells and whistles. First and foremost is the big, bright, easy-to-read LCD screen. The backlit display shows temperatures ranging from -58 to 572 degrees Fahrenheit or -50 to 300 degrees Celsius. There’s also a button that lets you switch between the two types—hold it down, and you’ll lock in your preferred temperature mode.

Many meat thermometers take upwards of seven seconds to read the internal temps, but this model is practically instantaneous. After just two seconds, the display will show the temperature with a 1-degree margin of error. Talk about accuracy!

The instant-read thermometer includes a convenient meat temperature safety chart for easy reference. Now, you’ll never again have to Google the safe minimum internal temperature for poultry, beef, pork, or seafood.

Accurate temperature readings and a clean display are the key components of any decent meat thermometer, but this heavily discounted model has several other convenient features. The stainless steel probe folds into the base of the thermometer, making it much easier to store (and preventing any nasty pokes while you rummage around the utensil drawer). You could also store the thermometer right on the fridge since the back is fully magnetized. It’s also waterproof, pre-calibrated, and has an automatic shut-off feature, so the batteries don’t wear down too fast.

Grilling enthusiasts and home cooks can save nearly 75 percent on this powerful meat thermometer while it’s on sale for $13—the lowest price it’s ever been.
