Key Takeaways

  • Aldi's copycat Chick-fil-A sauce was rumored to be discontinued, but it's finally back on shelves.
  • Fans took to Reddit and social media to share reviews of the dipping sauce.

Aldi fans know the store has some seriously good dupes. You can find anything from wannabe Laughing Cow Spreadable Cheese Wedges to copycat Kettle Potato Chips, all for way less than the brand names.

But it’s not just grocery items that mimic the originals. Aldi has fast food copycat items like its take on the popular smash burgers or its Fremont Fish Market Pollock Portions for a fish sandwich even better than what you’d order at the drive-thru.

Well now, Aldi also has a copycat Chick-fil-A sauce that many people say they like even better than the real deal.

Aldi’s Burman's Chicken Dipping Sauce Is Finally Back

A professional food taste tester recently shared on TikTok that Aldi’s Burman’s Chicken Dipping Sauce was one of the top five foods they tried for the week, saying it “tastes exactly like the Chick-fil-A sauce.”

If you’re an Aldi fan, you know this sauce isn’t necessarily new to the shelves. It’s been around for a minute, but an alleged Aldi employee said on Reddit last year that it was “discontinued,” which caused a lot of people to react. “That really sucks,” notes one commenter. Another mentioned “good things seem to always disappear,” including this “awesome sauce.”

According to this Reddit post, Burman's Chicken Dipping Sauce was slowly starting to make a comeback to select stores, but only for a limited time—“It’s out right now! It’s in the limited time aisle though.”

Now, the sauce is officially back. It’s unclear whether it will stick around for good this time, but we do know it’s ready to challenge its competitor for another round. Chick-fil-A says its popular dipping sauce has “notes of honey mustard and a smoky tang,” while Aldi’s claims its version, which can be used for dipping, as a dressing, or a topping, is “creamy, sweet, and savory.”

Fans who have tried Aldi’s Burman’s Chicken Dipping Sauce said on Instagram that it’s slightly “more barbecue-y” but is still “so good” that it might even be “better than the original.”

Burman’s Chicken Dipping Sauce is available at participating Aldi stores for $3.19 per bottle (prices may vary by location). If you’ve been on the lookout for a Chick-fil-A copycat dipping sauce, now is the time to hit your local Aldi store before this one disappears again.
