Key Takeaways
- Aldi’s new decorative bowl closely resembles a pricier Anthropologie version.
- The bowl is available in white and a grayish-blue for only $13.
- It hits Aldi shelves on April 16 and will only be available for one week or until sold out.
Is it pleated? Ruffled? Accordioned? We’re not quite sure, but the latest decorative bowl to hit the Aldi Finds home goods section is another standout in a growing lineup of stylish copycats that will add some interest to your countertop, dining table, or coffee table.
First, Aldi offered an Acacia wood bowl that looked like it belonged on the shelves of Pottery Barn—but without the Pottery Barn price tag. The bowl was beautiful and versatile, but it was only available on store shelves for one week.
Then came a decorative ceramic scalloped pedestal bowl, found in what fans affectionately call the “Aisle of Shame” (Aldi’s treasure trove for shoppers who can’t resist a good deal). This one looked an awful lot like a popular Crate & Barrel bowl, but its price tag was more than $130 lower.
Now, Aldi is back with a bowl that gives off modern Anthropologie vibes, making it the second Anthro dupe Aldi has offered recently. The first was last month’s colorful wine glasses that were dead ringers for the more expensive ones.

A decorative bowl serves a different purpose than the everyday bowls you eat from. It’s meant to be displayed out in the open, often with decorations in it—think faux greenery, seasonal decor, or even fresh fruit.
Aldi’s latest version, available in the Finds aisle right now, is described by the store as “ruffled,” but you could just as easily call it pleated or even accordioned. Either way, it looks very similar to one sold at Anthropologie. The biggest difference? Aldi’s bowl is $13. Anthro’s version runs $39 to $158, depending on its size.
On Anthropologie’s website, the bowl is styled as a base for a pretty floral display, and Aldi’s version would work just as well, for a lot less money. The Aldi ruffled bowl has another advantage over the more expensive brand. It comes in a second color, a grayish-blue shade, giving you options to choose which goes best with your home’s decor.
So, as you’re making your Aldi shopping list for the week, don’t forget to add this decorative bowl. It went on sale on April 16 for just one week (or until it sells out). Pick it up alongside grocery staples like the cult-favorite chicken dipping sauce—rumored to be even better than Chick-fil-A’s—and those frozen Smashed Burgers shoppers can’t get enough of.
Honestly, we’re starting to wonder if there’s any reason to shop anywhere but Aldi these days.
