2025 is turning out to be a big year for Oreo. Although we’re only four months in, the brand behind “milk’s favorite cookie” has been rolling out so many treats that we barely have time to process the news before another snack hits the shelves. From a never-before-seen chocolate-covered pretzel-flavored cookie to the sprinkle-studded Golden Birthday Cake variety and the return of the popular S’moreos, Oreo isn’t just making a splash, it’s creating a tidal wave in the snack world.
Now, hot on the heels of Oreo introducing Japan’s beloved Cherry Blossom Matcha Thins to the U.S., another international favorite is making its way stateside, giving us yet another reason to sprint back to the grocery store.
New Oreo Bites Ice Cream Lands in US Stores
Last spring, TikTok videos from the U.K. and other parts of Europe revealed there was a new frozen Oreo snack to get excited about: Oreo Bites Ice Cream. The new treat takes the classic chocolate cookies and cream combination we all know and love and packs it into mini, poppable ice cream nibs covered in crushed Oreo cookies. They’re reminiscent of the cups of Dibs found at cinemas (or their precursors and my childhood favorite, Bon Bons) and are perfect as an on-the-go frozen treat.
By the fall, rumors were already circulating on social media about the imminent arrival of Oreo Bites in the U.S. While fans expected them to arrive in early 2025, it wasn’t until now that someone spotted the treat in stores.
According to a post shared by @kdsnackfinds, the Instagrammer came across Oreo Bites at a local Circle K.
While there hasn’t been a formal announcement from the cookie brand, its website does list where you can find the new treat, which varies depending on your location, and includes retailers such as Albertsons, Walgreens, Kroger, and more.
This release might not be as loud as Oreo’s other drops, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less exciting. As one fan aptly put it on Instagram, “I’m so into these. I love a small treat, because sometimes a full ice cream bar can be too much commitment.”
We totally get it. And with the weather warming up, we just know these mini ice cream bites will deliver all the cooling and sweet satisfaction we crave on a hot summer day.
