- In addition to the new flavor, Tillamook announced it's adding two limited-time-only flavors to its permanent ice cream line.
We hope you have some empty freezer space—and, if you don’t, you might want to clear some room out now. Tillamook, the makers of award-winning cheese, butter, and, of course, ice cream, are back at it with yet another new flavor.
At the beginning of the month, the Oregon-based co-op announced it was releasing a limited-edition Salty Caramel Pretzel ice cream flavor that fans said would make them a “guaranteed customer for life.” But, if the salted vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate-covered pretzel pieces and salted caramel didn’t have you sold, then its other new limited-edition flavor just might.
Tillamook is releasing a new Apple Crisp-flavored ice cream for a limited time.

Picture this: You walk into your grandma’s house—maybe on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fourth of July, or a random Sunday—and you catch a whiff of her freshly baked apple crisp. The whole house smells of cinnamon, sweet apples, and toasty oats, and you’re oh-so-ready to get a bite of warm, gooey apple crisp with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream.
Tillamook has turned that mouthwatering combination into one delicious dessert with its new Apple Crisp ice cream that’s made with vanilla ice cream, real baked oatmeal streusel, and apple pieces.
“To create the Apple Crisp flavor, we used a recipe from my mother as a base to help us translate apple crisp into ice cream. We all know the smell and unforgettable taste of a warm apple crisp, and what better way to tap into that nostalgia than a homemade recipe,” said Hunter Clayton, Tillamook’s senior R&D associate scientist, in a press release.
Tillamook’s Apple Crisp flavor soft-launched in late 2024, when fans were spotting it on shelves in December.
“The vanilla ice cream with the perfect blend of apple and crisp takes me back to my childhood,” one Reddit user wrote. “Literally my favorite ice cream of all time.”
“This flavor is heavenly. The texture is so smooth and creamy. My new favorite ice cream by far,” a Kroger reviewer agreed.
If you haven’t found Tillamook’s new Apple Crisp ice cream just yet, have no fear. The sweet, crumble-filled ice cream is officially hitting retailer shelves, including Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, and Publix, nationwide now, where it will be sold for a limited time.
As if two new Tillamook flavors wasn't great news enough, the brand has also announced that it’s adding two previous limited-edition flavors to its permanent line. Soon, you’ll be able to find Orange & Cream and Campfire Peanut Butter Cup at retailers all year long.
If you see four tubs of Tillamook ice cream in our freezer this summer, don’t ask any questions—unless that question is, "Can I have a bowl?" Because, of course, we're happy to share.
