Cheesy Pull Apart Bread Ingredients

To make this cheesy pull apart bread recipe you will need a loaf of sourdough or French bread, butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped fresh parsley.

How Do You Make Pull Apart Bread?

When you make this cheesy pull apart bread, first preheat your oven. Next, cut a diagonal checkerboard pattern in the top of your loaf of bread. Place butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning and chopped parsley in a small bowl. Microwave the bowl until the butter melts and stir everything together. Drizzle the garlic butter mixture into the cuts in the bread. Gently stuff shredded mozzarella cheese into the crevices in the bread. Bake the bread on a baking sheet wrapped in foil for about 10 minutes. Then uncover and bake another 10 minutes until the cheese melts. When the bread comes out of the oven, sprinkle a little parsley on top. Serve it immediately, and watch it disappear!

Tips For The Perfect Pull Apart Bread

  • Make sure you don’t cut all the way through the loaf when you’re making your cross-hatch pattern. You want the loaf to stay together in the oven, so stop cutting when you hit the start of the bottom crust.
  • Place your bread on a foil lined baking sheet or sheet pan to catch any butter that may drip off the bread as it bakes.
  • Feel free to mince your garlic cloves with a sharp knife or use a garlic press.
  • You can assemble this cheesy pull apart garlic bread up to 4 hours before you bake it. Store your bread covered in the refrigerator, and add a few extra minutes to the baking time.
  • You can use any type of cheese you like for this recipe. You can try cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, fontina cheese or Swiss cheese.
  • You can purchase Italian seasoning or make your own Italian seasoning.
  • Try dipping this cheesy pull apart bread in homemade marinara sauce!

Quick Tip

You can choose your favorite bread type such as French, Italian or sourdough bread. Make sure not to choose a pre-sliced loaf of bread.
