Key Takeaways
- Costco's bakery recently released new spring cookies that fans can't get enough of.
- The cookies taste like "cake batter" and are available in a 24-pack at Costco warehouses nationwide for a limited time.
At this point, if your Costco shopping trip doesn’t include a stop in the bakery section, you’re entirely missing out. We’ll always love the bakery section for its everyday selection of freshly baked breads, decadent cakes, and fruit-filled pies; however, we really appreciate that Costco’s bakery is constantly releasing fresh, new products, like the recently spotted Garlic Parmesan Butter Dinner Rolls.
The club store gets extra brownie points (get it?) for its seasonal additions to the bakery, too. We already know that the new Carrot Bar Cake will be the star centerpiece at our Easter dinner this year.
Whether the cake will be part of an Easter dessert spread or as a sweet treat to enjoy on its own, Costco’s bakery has another new confection that shoppers can’t stop talking about.
Costco's New Butter Sugar Cookies with Spring Sprinkles
Costco shoppers have been spotting new Butter Sugar Cookies with Spring Sprinkles in stores for a few weeks now—and raving about them. The cookies, which Costco describes as “all butter” with “pastel sprinkles,” come in a 24-pack and only cost $9.99.
“The best store-bought cookies out there,” one Instagram user commented on a post.
If you’re familiar with Costco’s popular sugar cookies with heart-shaped sprinkles that it releases for Valentine’s Day, the rumor is these follow the same recipe, just with spring-themed sprinkles instead.
“These are pretty fire. Very buttery texture and not overly sweet,” a Redditor wrote. “I think these are the same recipe as the heart sprinkles cookies they had around Valentine’s Day.”
“They are indeed the same, Costco baker friend confirmed,” another Reddit user commented. “They may be doing a July 4 color iteration, too, so we may see these keep coming back!”
Shoppers love the soft cookies for their melt-in-your-mouth consistency and cake batter-like flavor. While they’re “so good” on their own, customers have mentioned how delicious they’d be as the cookies in an ice cream sandwich.
Either way, shoppers say they’re “going to have to hide” them from everyone else, otherwise they’ll be gone in a flash. So, maybe heed their warning and buy not just one container but two the next time you see them at the store. If we’re lucky, though, we might just see them again in a few months.
