Many of us may think fast food is about as American as it can get, but we U.S. dwellers aren’t the only ones who love McDonald’s french fries or KFC’s fried chicken. Nando’s Peri-Peri is a fast-casual restaurant that serves flame-grilled chicken and originated in South Africa in the '80s. Today, Nando’s has restaurants in over 20 countries, including Australia, India, Ireland, Canada, and even some parts of the U.S. However, its largest market is in the U.K.
Nando’s and its peri-peri chile pepper-marinated chicken is a must-have when you have the chance, but soon, you won’t have to travel by airplane (or to one of the six states with a Nando’s location) to have some Peri-Wings.
For the first time, Nando’s is selling its Peri-Wing Sauce in bottles in the U.S.

Nando’s bottled Peri-Wing Sauces are all made with the same African Bird’s Eye Chillies—or Peri-Peri—as the in-restaurant sauces are. The three bottled sauces are available in Garlic, Buffalo, and Spicy Brown Sugar flavors.
The medium-spiced Garlic Peri-Wing Sauce features bold garlic, zesty lemon, earthy herbs, and a hint of sweetness. The medium-heat Buffalo Peri-Wing Sauce has the buttery, savory kick of Buffalo you know and love, but with a South African twist. The hot Spicy Brown Sugar Peri-Wing Sauce is a blend of sweet and heat made with molasses and brown sugar, followed by a smoky, tangy kick.
Nando’s is releasing its new line of Peri-Wing Sauces exclusively on Amazon, where they’ll be sold in a three-pack for $22.99.
While they may be labeled as “wing sauce,” Nando’s says the bold sauces are perfect for any grilled meats, sandwiches, or even for dipping. The new, first-ever line of wing sauces joins Nando’s other grocery ventures, including its hot sauces and Perinaise spicy mayos, which Nando’s says are the “most popular sauce from England to Australia” with massive growth in the U.S.
So, whether you’ve ever experienced Nando’s delicious Peri-Wings in a restaurant or not, now you can experiment with the tasty chicken at home.
