Truffle mushrooms are a prized culinary delicacy that are surprisingly contentious. A tiny bit can elevate any dish with earthy, nutty flavors—but too much of it, and people start to think of dirty socks. There’s no denying the ingredient is more divisive than loved.

When that perfect truffle balance is achieved, however, the taste can be heavenly. And it appears Kettle Brand has managed to do it.

The chip company behind so many of our favorite flavors, including Seven-Layer Dip and Sweet and Spicy Gochujang, has a truffle-infused potato chip that even has skeptics on board. And now, these fan-favorite chips have found their way to Costco.

Kettle Brand's Truffle Oil & Sea Salt Chips Have Arrived at Costco

Our Features Editor, Bridget Olson, recently spotted Kettle Brand’s Krinkle Cut Truffle Oil & Sea Salt Chips at her local Costco in Tennessee. In true Costco fashion, these 28-ounce bags are more than double the size of Kettle’s standard party-size bags—and for an unbeatable cost of $4.99.

Kettle Brand has always been a trailblazer when it comes to offering creative, fun flavors that take the humble potato chip to higher heights, whether that’s a pimento cheese- or chamoy-flavored snack. Its Truffle Oil & Sea Salt variety is what the brand describes as its “bougiest chip yet.”

It delivers bold truffle flavor that had one fan on Reddit admitting the whole bag was immediately eaten: “Get them, don’t question it!” Another fan added, “If you like truffle, they’re a perfect chip.”

The Truffle Oil & Sea Salt Chips aren't currently listed on Costco's website, so my guess is these will be an in-store exclusive—at least for now.

To take snacking up a notch, Kettle Brand just dropped an Instagram video jumping on the charcuterie chips trend (also known as Italian Nachos), where it piled an array of charcuterie board staples, including cured meat, balsamic glaze, and cheese, on top of the truffle chips. The decadent snack comes together in minutes, and it’s a fun way to enjoy these crisp chips.

If talking about Italian Nachos got you hungry, then take this as your sign to swing by Costco and snag a bag or two of these truffle chips. While you’re there, it’s probably a good time to gather some prosciutto, pickled peppers, and melty cheese to create your most extravagant snack to date.

Of course, the chips alone are worth the trip. As one fan simply put it: "They are ridiculously good. Go for it."
